Somansey Adlawan is haunted.

The ghosts of days long gone nip and prod with chipped teeth and strong hands, begging Soman to return to what they are at heart: a museum of all of their experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. An empty shell, a vessel, taken as a challenge to break with no chance of repair and left to rot, writhing in its despair, like an unwanted toy.

Their days now are filled with the garish hues of every color adorning the rainbow, glitter and jumbled daydreams of a million idealized childhoods leak through the corners of their vision to dodge any and every mention of the stars-forsaken past that will do nothing but repeat again and again and again and again--
Soman's been told to let sleeping dogs lie -- to live and let go and watch experiences and memories decompose into nothingness -- but how could they, as the past so effortlessly bleeds into their existence and defines her? Do you follow?

The past is what Soman is now; some walking delusion of dashed wishes, tooth-rotting dreams, and anguished prayers to a despondent Universe begging to let them have the innocence and naivety they craved as a child. Soman dreams to... just be normal.

What can you do, huh? The only way to be free of the past and everything is to escape the present and the future.

    Determined, brave, overpowering. Lisin's everything Somansey lacks and oh, her luckiest stars, it's downright intoxicating.
    Soman feels compelled to simply take him and parade him around the Nouvelle-Yorke streets for all to behold, like little ol' Soman's got the key to everything!
    Lisin truly cares about Sterren and Soman behind that rough and stony exterior -- he's literally Soman's knight in shining armor! Ooh, they're getting too excited thinking about them!

    Relationship: Everyone.
    Somansey and Sterren would be like two peas in a pod if Sterren didn't whine and groan whenever Soman did something the guy didn't like!
    They swear, he's so grouchy. No one can ever have a little fun anymore, huh? Sterren acts like a puffed up cat whenever she slithers by. It makes her so sad!! :,( But he still cares so much about Soman and Lisin that it makes Soman's insides flip and squirm! It's like Soman's got the hearts of everyone packed in one body!
    He's so nice whenever he isn't trying to be like Frank Castle, y'know? Like-- his tea's great! ...Although, it does make her numb, despondant, and fuzzy for a period of time.

    • Injected via hollow fangs. Akin to taking a shitload of LSD. Powerful hallucinogenic.
  • Altered vision
    • Soman's fovea was damaged when they mutated, thus, she can't see clear and defined images well and is reliant on their perception of movement. It' not impossible for them to see a clear image, just very difficult.
  • Heat-sensing pits
    • A bunch of splotches on her face that attempts to make up for the poor vision through a 'sense' that can detect thermal radiation. Aids with navigation.

Equipment

    • Soman's mechanically infused through experimentation. As a result, they've gained a sword embedded into their head like a horn based on Soma's crescent form.

Notes

  • Soman is nearly always smiling!
  • She's superficially bubbly. Their emotions are always a bit too over-the-top, especially when happy, to be natural.

Trivia

  • Somansey's mutation seems to be rattlesnake-based... but Soman has no natural rattle. They strapped a bunch of bells to the end of their tail and called it a day.
    Lisin and Sterren are fine with this, since it helps them know where Soman is at (almost) all times.
  • Her name is pronounced as 'soh-MAHN-say'.
  • They do not enjoy pots. The cooking appliance.
  • Yes, Soman has that weird lisp thing with the letter S. (ex: "Sssorry... ssshe sssaid no.")
