Paracosm Corner!

Earth-256-B is a violent, chaotic, and ludicrous universe, wouldn't you agree?
It's dressed head to toe in pure and utter absurdity, from its politics, to its cities, to the way of life, and most surely its downright deranged inhabitants. It can all be far, far too much for both the humans and the mutated alike.

Enter paracosms; fictional universes that can be anything and everything the paracosmist wants them to be.
Controlled, predictable, and freeing from the horrendous state of the world along with everyone within it. A breath of fresh air within a raging ocean of terror and disorder.

The definition is as follows:
"A paracosm is a detailed imaginary world thought generally to originate in childhood. The creator of a paracosm has a complex and deeply felt relationship with this subjective universe, which may incorporate real-world or imaginary characters and conventions. Commonly having its own geography, history, and language, it is an experience that is often developed during childhood and continues over a long period of time, months or even years, as a sophisticated reality that can last into adulthood." Sunset Silver!

Main article: Sunset Silver!

Creators: Liz Allan, Virgil Voltspun, and friends.

The world of Tellaris was created for a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) campaign for Liz's nerdy friends -- Gwen Stacy, MJ Watson, Harry Osborne, and Virgil Voltspun -- and their suggestions for group activities. None of them were particularly thriving in the creative fiction department, so Liz chose to create and orchestrate the campaign.

Liz had gotten help and input about what to do with this campaign from her friends and her friends' friends, but she was still frustrated with certain aspects that weren't to her liking: character motivation, storylines and arcs, magic systems, and so on.
She ranted about this to Virgil one day and accidentally roped him into Tellaris' creation, making him a co-creator of sorts, as he applied his knowledge of Nouvelle-Yorke's crime scene to their campaign in some strange effort to understand Virgil's own unanswered questions regarding -- everything, really.

Tellaris had spiraled out of control for the two of them as time went on, becoming a fully autonomous and silly world that the pair couldn't get enough of. They each made their own characters and storylines, with the two rambling about them whenever they got the chance.

Virgil's a man of science -- he's something of a scientist himself -- and was naturally curious about most things. Granted, some of those questions showed themselves in the original campaign that Liz made, but more festered within him. So, he wrote a story of a dragon-slaying rabbit: Sunset Silver.
