Howdy.
My name is Kirimu. Machine works fine, too. Nice to meet you.
Know me by another name? Most likely, that one will work as well.
I'm a recluse (and a yapper) who's got shit social skills and likes certain things too much. Sometimes, they spiral into things I need to get out of my system because I am very much a regulated and well-adjusted human being, just like you. This site's a good example of that.
I've kind of lived under a rock my whole life in terms of things within the public consciousness; I never cared about things if they didn't relate to my interests. Especially now, since I decided to quit social media and kill my phone usage entirely in 2025. I've stood my ground surprisingly well, I'd say, but things now go even more over my head than before. I feel like a grouchy old man every time my friends show off short-form videos and trends now, eugh…
I have more time for things I like doing though. So, that's a plus! I also think my memory's a smidge better than it was, maybe.
Since doomscrolling's off the table, my free time's taken up by drawing, reading, Vinesauce, and old video games. I say old video games because I never hear about the newer ones and I'm not shilling out $80 for AAA shit I don't even know of.
I'm currently working on Ridge Racer Type 4, other PS1 games, and Shenmue (for some reason). …If you were curious, I mean. You should also play Planet Laika, by the way. I beat that game around Christmas; that shit was a fucking fever dream and I can't begin to articulate what the hell I spent eleven hours of my life on.
Anyway, welcome to my weird nerd site. Thanks for stopping by, sorry about the clutter, insert formal gratitude here, and let me know if there's a typo or if something's broken, por favor, thanks much.

- Video Games!!
I really love video games. Hahaha.
I'm more into 'retro' games and older game hardware than anything particularly novel (outside of a few titles), but my sentiment still stands. I suck dick at every game I play, but I still enjoy playing them anyway.
If you're curious, my favorite consoles are the PS1 and Sega Saturn, but I also greatly enjoy arcade games, too. If you're still curious, my favorite video game is Undertale. No, I don't like Deltarune all that much, sorry.
- Emulation!!
I need a means to play my nerd games, yeah?
Currently, I'm using DuckStation, MAME, PPSSPP, and PCSX2. Mostly Duckstation though. PS1 games have captivated me recently.
I used to only use RetroArch... but, after three or four years, the shitty UI got to me. So, now I'm in the process of looking for a frontend — and more emulators for different systems, so I can play more games — to coalesce all of my ROMs.
Do I need a frontend? ...No, but I'm a sucker for style.
- Science
Science is cool. I read science books as a kid for fun.
I'm interested in just about anything that isn't geology, but I'm more of a fan of the space sciences than anything else; specifically: cosmology, astronomy, astrobiology, prebiotic chemistry, and astrophysics. Mostly cosmology though...
I also enjoy arachnology, entomology, chemistry (begrudgingly), and biology (also begrudgingly).
In a typical academic setting, I find any field of science to be horrible, but — alas — I still like these regardless.
- Art
I've been drawing less and less as I've gotten older for a wide variety of reasons, but I'm still an art kid at heart.
- Vinesauce!!
I like watching Vinny and Joel play weird games sometimes. Talk about dedication. Speeeeeeen.
- Rap, Rock, Punk, Metal
In terms of music, I listen to... not everything, but a lot of things! These are just my favorite four genres.
My favorite album is Retcon by Red Vox; my favorite songs on there are The New Flesh and Memory Loss.
Funny, since I also like Vinesauce, but I fucking LOVE LOVE LOVE(!!!) this album, dude! It makes me so happy whenever I listen to it.
Other notable songs/albums: Untitled 03 by Kendrick Lamar, Hemispheres by Rush, Deathconscioussness by Have a Nice Life, The Equinox by Sorcerer, and... too many Mommy Long Legs songs.
- Comics
This is a weird one.
When I first got into Marvel in my tweens, it was through Into the Spider-Verse and copious amounts of fan-fiction until I stumbled upon Spideypool. I near-exclusively consumed fan-fiction (and lengthy retrospectives) concerning Marvel for years because I disliked the convoluted mess that was the Marvel multiverse. It's still intimidating to this day, honestly!
I liked comic book characters, but I couldn't bring myself to like comics... until now! ...In my adulthood. Maybe it's just because I'm less picky.
As of 2026, I'm working through: Spawn, Silver Surfer, Invincible, and Watchmen.
Why Does This Exist?
I watched Across the Spider-Verse when I was sixteen.
Yes, yes. Web-Surfer is a childish pet project made by an engineering man-child who likes things too much for his own good and not a precious paracosm I've had since I was a kid, I'm sorry to disappoint. Preteen me would've been very proud though. Take that as you will.
I should've waited a bit before jumping into creating a standalone site with how young TWWS is compared to other paracosms and headworlds I hear about, but... I was a very eager teenager starved to do everything at once.
Anyway, I was disgustingly into Marvel at the time and was hyped for the film. Saw it, liked it, looked at cool stuff relating to it on social media and saw a revival of those Spider-sonas people made in 2018. Notably, I paid attention to the fact that they're all technically canon to the Marvel multiverse, and thought each and every one of them were the coolest fucking thing on planet Earth.
So, I made a Spider-sona as a little one-off thing that was disgustingly self-indulgent. I could never really see myself in Peter Parker or even Miles Morales — I've always turned to Deadpool if I felt unheard — despite liking Spider-Man a lot… so I thought it was cool I could be Spider-Man the way I wanted to.
I can truly feel seen through my characters and world along with exploring who I am as a person. I can make my perfect story and no one can stop me. Isn't that great?
Me, a guy who's been grappling with feeling like an absolute freak for his whole stinkin' life, feeling a little less like a freak because I just so happen to be really into Spider-Man. Whatever assauges the demons, man.
So, here we are; my little shithole of a universe.
Excelsior. Thumbs up.
Manifesto
I don't have a manifesto.
This site wasn't birthed out of love for the old web since… y'know, I'm too young for that. I just thought the indie web was really fucking cool as a teenager.
...I find a lot of things to be cool and interesting, okay? Even my friends call me a dork for it.
Web-Surfer was originally just going to be a one-off OC page on a personal website more focused on blogging and art, since I harbored a severe distaste for posting on social media; I was way too reclusive and places like TikTok or Instagram are way too fucking evil, but I still wanted to 'get myself out there more.'
…TWWS consumed me too much to be satisfied with a singular page, though. A standalone site was in order, and you're on it, so it worked. Behold, the rotten fruits of my lazy labor.
This website was created with the goal of organizing information regarding TWWS in a way that's comprehensive, complete, fun (for me) to make, fun (for you) to read about (maybe), and violently disassociated from mainstream social media. I sound like an old fart saying that, I'm sure, but technology sure seems to be cannibalizing itself lately, no?
I'm still very much ass at web development and creating stories, but maybe it'll get better with time. I apologize for any hiccups in the meantime. This is like, the fifth fucking iteration of this goddamn site. I'm so tired.
…But since I'm being held at gunpoint, I'll tell you what. Here's a manifesto: I hope you have fun.

Trivia
- I near-exclusively wrote Marvel fan-fiction (with names switched around and anonymized) for my high school's creative writing class. I got a 100% as a final grade.
- I would also terrorize this same teacher every day for fun. I'm so sorry, if you're reading this. Also, get the hell off my site??
- I used to wear a mask and hat all throughout my four years of high school. It made me look like a quadrupedal freak who dwells in alleyways, but it helped me survive the horrors of my painfully American high school. It was mostly because people were evil and stinky. Now, I wear hats because they're comfy and nice.
- Marvel's best Spider-Man and Deadpool writers are AO3 authors. No, I will not listen to opposing arguments at this time.
- I wrote about TWWS and tarot cards for my AP Lit final. I got a 100% on the final and an A in the class. How? I don't know, but I'm never pulling that shit again. I sounded like a madman, even by my standards.
- I also asked my AP Lit teacher if Spideypool yaoi was allowed in this essay. I don't remember their answer to that.
- I'm also reading X-Men: the Legacy Quest Trilogy because I found a copy of the first volume in a Little Free Library. I'm hashtag winning.
- I was so, so close to naming myself Wade when deciding on a real life name for myself as a baby trans guy because I was obsessed with Deadpool and loved him beyond all else. I hated feeling like a freak parasocially attatched to characters and people, though, so I opted for something else.
